Wishing you all a very merry Christmas from us here at [livejournal.com profile] theoldbluebox.

Whilst we wait for The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe, how has your Christmas gone so far? (feel free to share what gifts you've got in the comments, Doctor Who-related or otherwise!)

And as always: squee, complain or dive behind the sofa.

Btw, is the Xmas special counted as S6 or S7? The split-season has thrown me out of whack with the numbering.

Announcment

In light of recent events on LJ and the introduction of community imports sometime next week, I am pleased to announce that [community profile] theoldbluebox is now on Dreamwidth! As soon as the feature is activated, all posts and comments made here will be imported over. We will not be abandoning this comm though - all mod posts will be cross-posted to both comms and we'll try and post links to DW-only posts here so that no-one misses out on anything.

And remember, even if you don't have a Dreamwidth account you can still comment on there by using your LJ login thanks to OpenID.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone!

It's finally here people - this is your squee post for The Wedding of River Song.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. Hopefully, everyone's brains will still be in relatively one piece afterwards. At the very least, I'm expecting to be cross-eyed by the end of it.

Here's your squee post for Closing Time, which is on at 7.10pm this week (and hopefully without a repeat of the psychic headbutt. Just thinking about it makes me wince).

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa (it would figure that I forgot to say it last week).

Here's your squee post for The God Complex, in which Doctor Who once again tries its hand at Theseus and the Minotaur, in a manner of speaking (the last time the show tired it, to my knowledge, was Horns of the Nimon. Make of that what you will).

And as the BBC still seems to be having trouble deciding on a time-slot and sticking to it, it's on at 7.10pm tonight.

PS: is it just me, or are all the episodes getting longer?

Here's you squee post for The Girl Who Waited, which is on at 7.15pm this week.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. It should be interesting, at any rate, because it's dealing with time travel in a way that doesn't involved things happening in a non-linear order for once.

Here's your squee post for Night Terrors, which is on at 7.00pm this week.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. And I'm not entirely joking this week either, as you may actually need to retreat behind the furniture.

Here's your very early squee post for the Doctor Who mid-series premiere, Let's Kill Hitler!

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. Or have a stiff drink on stand-by - as one reviewer said: "Steven Moffat has clearly gone mad. Proper unhinged, woopsie-bonkers, ‘for my next trick I shall invade France’ crackers" (incidentally, that's the best review line ever).

I've got to run now, but feel free to chat amongst yourselves in the meantime. See you at 7.10pm!

This is it people. The big one. The mid-series finale.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. And if anyone is still seriously confused afterwards, I'll try and do a debriefing in the comments. Provided my brain hasn't leaked out of my ears from an overload of awesome, that is (it wouldn't be the first time).

Why do I have a feeling this is going to be a long few months?

ETA: Forgot to say that it's on 6.40 this week.

Here's your squee post for The Almost People (which is an awesome title by the way). 6.45 again this week. Keep it up BBC.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa.

I for one will be glad when this episode is over, because then I won't have to look at the Coming Up picture on the Doctor Who News Page any more (forget the Silence and the Weeping Angels, that image is what's going to be fuelling my nightmares for the foreseeable future).

Here's your squee post for The Rebel Flesh. Or as I've been calling them, "Odo's Zombie Cousins". It's on at 6.45 this week. Evidently, someone has been bending the Beeb's ear over the time-slots.

Business as usual: squee, complain or dive behind the sofa.

PS: For the fact fans amongst you, today is also the 6th anniversary of The Empty Child's broadcast.

Here's your Squee Post for The Doctor's Wife - remember, it's on at 6.30 this week.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. Btw, in the event of an explosion of fan!rage following this episode, I advise retreating to a safe distance until it blows over.

Here's your (slightly early) Squee Post for Day of the Moon.

Squee, complain, build that fort I suggested last week... Or, you know, just hide behind the sofa. Why mess with the classic?

Fun Fact: This is the first time that Doctor Who has used the "Day of the" prefix since 1972's Day of the Daleks (which, incidentally, was also the story that made me fall in love with Doctor Who in the first place). Anyone want to bet that today's episode involves a pogo paradox?

I now pronounce this comm's first Squee Post open!

Go forth and squee, complain or build a fort behind the sofa.

And whatever you're doing tonight, raise a glass of the beverage of your choice in memory of Nicholas and Elisabeth.

The official site has posted teaser trailers for Series 6 and the Prequel which will be launched 4pm on Friday (GMT).

I'm guessing that these can only be seen in the UK. Can anyone confirms this?
EDIT: I'm told that currently this can be seen by people in other countries, but this could change.
