Welcome to the inside of our favourite place - the TARDIS! Pull up a chair, grab a drink and get to know your fellow companions around the console!

Here's a quick summary of polite do's and don'ts for you to follow - for the full list (bullet-pointed for your sanity), please see our community guidelines.

And, as ours is a fandom with a wide range of opinions that don't always see eye-to-eye, we suggest keeping in mind the following:

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."

What we would like:

Like any other Who-centric (Eccentric?) community, we want to see posts concerning TARDIS spotting, cool mashup videos, videos that you yourself have created, fanart, fanfic, reviews of episodes and friendly debates.

We want to hear about Cons and cosplay, spotting Who references in other shows and your thoughts on any of the characters that appear in our beloved show. If it's Who-related then please, please bring it to us!

Community advertising is also allowed and encouraged - sometimes it's the only way you'll find new comms.

What we won't accept:

Debate and discussion are positively welcomed and encouraged. Bashing of any Doctor, Companion or other character is not. Please respect the opinions of others.

If you have an issue with one of the other members or, indeed, the mods, then please PM the mods directly; we don't want to witness any personal attacks or flaming.

Community guidelines:

1. Please put all spoilers behind a Cut. If you're not sure, cut it - it's better to be safe than sorry.


• Be sure to warn for spoilers in your comments as well. Some people can get really touchy about that kind of thing (see Useful Code for something that will help).


• If you're having to scroll down to see all of your post on the recent entries page, then you probably need to cut it.


• All images wider than 640px and picture heavy posts must go behind a cut. This prevents people's f-lists and the comm layout from breaking, and allows the comm to load faster for those on slower connections.


• If your post deals with issues of a sensitive nature, please put it behind a cut with the appropriate warnings.


2. Please do not use flashing icons, and also warn for flashing videos.


3. Requests and links for downloads are to be locked.


4. Please do not link to locked journals/comms. It kinda defeats the point of sharing the link with us in the first place.


5. Please put all fanfic, fanart and fanvids behind a cut and use the header below when posting for easy identification (delete as needed):

6. Please refrain from using font styles and CSS to alter the text of your post as this will render it either unreadable or painful to look at depending on the layout.


7. We allow members to add new tags, but please tag responsibily: too many tags will make the comm difficult to navigate.


8. Derogatory language will not be not tolerated, nor will any display of any form of prejudice and intolerance, regardless of which direction it's aimed in.


9. Be respectful to your fellow members, even if you may not agree with them. This includes not using "net speak" such as "lol" when responding to someone's argument, as it comes across as rather rude. The moment you feel a discussion you're having with someone is not going to get anywhere, politely agree to disagree and step away. Trust us, it will save you your sanity in the long run.

Modding policy:

• Everyone butts heads from time to time. Things will be said in the heat of the moment which we think sound perfectly reasonable at the time, but more often than not just make things worse. An important part of growing as a person is learning how to handle conflict with others, and as such we'll hold off on intervening for as long as possible, or until a member requests our assistance, in order to give those involved a chance to settle their differences in a civil matter.


• If we see signs that an argument is about to turn ugly, we will do our best to defuse it. If the situation devolves into personal insults and baseless bashing, the thread in question will be frozen to prevent it escalating any further and all sides will be told to stand down and cool off. If any involved try to carry on the argument with each other in a different thread, they will be temporarily banned from commenting for 24 hours.


• The same goes if you've been warned in multiple threads on the same post. We should not have to post into every thread you're taking part in to remind you to behave.


• Any thread which has resulted in a member being banned will be frozen to prevent others from responding to them.


• We do not have the ability to edit your posts or change the post security. If one of us or a member asks you to fix something (which will mostly be to either lock it or add a cut), please comply as soon as you can. If you don't know how to fix it, please ask.


• Additional: if the part of the post you are asked to change is the use of derogatory language, failure to comply after three requests will see your posting privileges temporarily revoked. And if you've upset someone by using it, we strongly recommend that you apologise (and whatever you do, don't say "I'm sorry, but" - that one never turns out well).


• As this community is not moderated, we rely on members to notify us of any problems ASAP. In the event of a problem, contact us with a link to the relevant post/comment thread and we will deal with it. There will be times, however, when a mod is not available to assist. If you feel you can step in and defuse a situation without requiring our assistance, we will not penalise you for trying to do so. But be warned; acting as a de-facto mod without the privileges to back you up can be a very risky move, and should only be attempted if you are confident of success. If it goes wrong, contact us immediately.
