Here's your squee post for Nightmare in Silver, which is on at 7.00pm tonight. I might be wrong, but I think this is the first time Doctor Who has aired at 7pm in years.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. Not going to lie, I'm a teensy bit excited for this one.

Awesome episode! The best in a long time. It had excellent pacing, a bad guy that was properly threatening and, okay, the ending was way too quick and sudden and easy, and rather ruined things. But the preceding forty-odd minutes were good enough for me to maybe not care.

Matt Smith is just amazing, though. I was horrified when he was cast, and wondered what on earth Moffat was thinking. Boy was I wrong. Every week, even when the episodes aren't much cop, he's fabulous. This may have been his best yet tonight.

More like this, please! But with better endings. Okay, so Porridge had to wait until the gang was all together again before he could set the bomb off, or presumably they wouldn't all have been rescued, but even so, what was he waiting for exactly?! It was a hell of an anti-climax when he did eventually set the bomb off. Nice floaty cybermite at the end, though.

Let's see the Daleks try to make mincemeat out of these Cybermen! I think it may be time for a rematch...

Oh heck yes - these new Cybermen scared the everliving brown stuff out of me! Just wonderful!

I completely agree that Matt was at his best in this episode. Like you, I was initially horrified by the casting of what - to me - was a mere boy, but he had me from the moment he shouted "LEGS"!

I can see the Daleks turning on their wheels and scooting like hell back to where they came from...
