Here's your squee post for Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, which is on at 6.30pm. Where the interior may or may not look like M.C. Esher and there's something strange roaming the corridors (maybe we'll find out what happened to that one Cyberman from Earthshock).
Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and bludgeon the theme song from the Willy Fog 2 cartoon out of my head (and it'll be your own fault if you decide to google it and get it stuck in your head. Just saying).

Date: 2013-04-27 02:55 pm (UTC)The Rings of Akhaten: I admit it, I have a real soft spot for episodes that give focus to the culture of a place. People said the plot was too pedestrian, but I actually really liked the fact we got to watch the Doctor introduce Clara to a new world and its customs. And I'm also a sucker for whenever music or poetry is incorporated into an episode of a show. Also, the whole thing about stories and Clara's leaf (true story: my parents have a similar leaf pressed and framed that they picked up on their honeymoon 30 years ago). Only thing that didn't quite make sense was the "alarm clock." Who I kept laughing at during the Doctor and Clara's conversation because it was hard to take things seriously when you had him literally licking the walls in the background.
Cold War: Ice Warriors are awesome. End of. I loved the fact that the whole atmosphere of the episode basically mirrored the political climate of the time. I also liked the possibly-blink-and-you-missed-it thing with parallel between Skaldak and his daughter and Clara and the professor.
Hide: Odd episode. It was like watching a creepypasta crossed with Paranormal Activity, but then it takes a weird detour. Not sure how I feel about that. Loved it up until then though. Major kudos to the effects guys for the Crooked Man too, the animation was fantastic and so effective. I also suspect that his face will the source of some kids' half-remembered nightmare fuel in about 15 years time.
