Here's your squee for Cold War, on at 6.00pm. A Doctor, an impossible girl and an Ice Warrior walk onto a Russian nuclear submarine in the 80's. It's either the setup to a joke or the trigger for World War Three, and this is probably the only show where either outcome is equally plausible.

Squee, complain or dive behind the sofa. Or, if you have a history nerd in your household like I do, be prepared to gag them if you want some peace.

This is exciting because my nine year old is excited about it. She only knows Ice Warriors from Target books (we haven't got to them in our "watch all the stories in order" project yet). She's been away on holiday with my mum till today and she rang me up last night to squee about it!

Gatiss better not let her down.
