I, meanwhile, will be celebrating the return of Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax, AKA the most awesome Victorian crime-fighting team ever. If we can't get a full spin-off, could we at least have a comic series? Pretty please?

Best this year, imho. I'm a sucker for Madame Vastra and her comedy Sontaran butler. I rather hope the urchin joins the gang too. Nice to see Diana Rigg again as well, and Matt Smith continues to impress. The new series has never grabbed me as much as the original did, but I shall be sorry to see Eleven leave, when the time comes.

I do so hope for a visit from Jack, though. I'd love to see him collide with Eleven.
