Midlands Expo 2011
Would have had this up sooner, but Youtube was being its usual fickle self.
On the show floor (well, more like the area that wasn't the stage) the TARDIS was there as per usual, complete with the usual Ten cosplayer and Daleks - oddly enough, even though I swear I saw my sister taking a photo of it I couldn't find one when going through them later on. No roaming Dalek this year thanks to the Nintendo booths taking a lot of the space. Which is a good thing, as there were a lot of costumes this year with very limited visibility (including me, as I had Steampunk Goggles on half the time).
I didn't see many Doctor Who cosplayers this year, come to think of it. But we did find one, and he alone made up for the lack of them:
He's finally ginger people! (and yes, my sister said to him "bowties are cool" afterwards)
I ended up not going to the New K9 Series panel as it clashed with the dance meet my sister was in charge of and I was designated camera operator (sadly, we never got to do the Time Warp), but I made certain I was there to film the SJA Q&A.
We had a surprise too, because the night before the Expo it was revealed that Anjli Mohindra was not the only SJA guest - Tommy Knight was there as well! (for the second year running to boot - glad we didn't scare him off)
Warning: this was filmed on an iPod Touch, which isn't easy to keep steady. This was expertly demonstrated later on when said iPod summersaulted out of my hands during the Masquerade.
You can hear me shouting out "Amy's Choice" a couple of times during the favourite Doctor Who episode question.
Unbeknownst to me, my sister was taking pictures while I was filming (she's also hosting the Q&A vids on her account, which is very much appreciated) - sadly, only one photo wasn't blurred (we need to try using the Sport mode on her camera next year, methinks), but it's a great one:

All in all, the day was gloriously insane, and I can't wait till next year.
